Ray earned a B.S.E. in Civil Engineering and worked 10 years as a civil engineering project manager for several consulting firms and a large utility where he led multi-million dollar planning, design, and construction projects.
Ray expanded his education through graduate studies in learning and instruction, and classes in facilitation, mediation, project management, leadership, and personal and organizational strategic planning.
While an engineer, he became a certified Dale Carnegie Course Instructor and taught classes in effective communication and human relations for 8 years.
Ray is the author of the book Energize Your Business: Engage Your Employees with an Inspiring Strategic Planning Process. Throughout Energize, Ray shares his secrets and proven, practical tools and tips accumulated over his 30 years of experience facilitating groups. The book is designed to make the strategic planning process easy, fun, and inspiring for everyone involved.
Ray is also author of the book, Ray of Hope: Inspiring Peace – Insights on Chaos and Consciousness while Bicycling Across America. This inspiring book chronicles his 3,369 mile, 70-day bicycle ride from Phoenix, AZ, to Ground Zero, NYC, in the aftermath of the 9-11-01 events. In it, he shares timeless principles for achieving greater peace and happiness in our lives, our communities, and the world.
The cycling journey served as a stepping stone for Ray and wife Lyn’s new RVing adventure. They now serve their business clients’ needs flexibly and economically while they travel across North America living their dreams—and inspiring others to live their dreams also.
